FAYETTEVILLE – The Arkansas Razorbacks return to Bud Walton Arena to host #7 Duke in the inaugural ACC-SEC Challenge. The game will be televised on ESPN and tip time is scheduled for 8:15 pm (CT).
The programs have met on four previous occasions – all on a neutral court. The series is tied, 2-2.
The last time the Razorbacks and Blue Devils met was the 2022 NCAA Elite 8 in San Francisco, a game Duke won 78-69. Prior to that, Arkansas defeated Duke, 76-72, to win the 1994 NCAA Championship in Charlotte. The first meeting between the schools was in the 1990 NCAA Final Four. The Blue Devils won that initial match-up, 97-83. Eight months later (Nov. 21, 1990), Arkansas beat Duke, 98-88, at New York’s Madison Square Garden in the Preseason NIT semifinals.
In the previous nine years, Arkansas participated in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge. The Razorbacks were 4-5 in those games, going 4-0 in Bud Walton Arena.

The Arkansas-Duke game will be part of the first SEC-ACC Challenge and the tie-breaker of an impressive four-game series.
This year is the 30th anniversary of Arkansas defeating Duke for the 1994 NCAA Championship.
Also, the game date — Nov. 29 — is the 30th anniversary of the first game played at Bud Walton Arena, a 92-67 victory over Murray State. (Note: the actual dedication game for the Arena was Dec, 2 — a 120-68 win over Missouri.)
Eric Musselman is one win from 100 as Arkansas head coach.
Khalif Battle is 24 points from 1,000 for his collegiate career.
Arkansas has attempted at least 25 free throws in six of seven games this season and made at least 20 four times. Arkansas ranks seventh in the NCAA (2nd in the SEC) in free throw attempts (28.9 avg.). Arkansas ranks ninth in the NCAA (2nd in the SEC) in free throws made (20.4 avg.). Muss’ college teams have ranked among the NCAA top 20 in FTA in each of his first eight years.
