In his Beirut cafe, Hajj Khaled is always watching the TV, which keeps him connected to Gaza where his family and friends are. “We are all deeply wounded. There's nothing we can do to help them. We pray for their safety,” he says. He is one of hundreds of thousands of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon, many of whom have been watching the war and suffering unfold in Gaza from afar, but are largely powerless to prevent it.
