Shock Strictly winner ‘revealed’ by show legend – and it’s not Layton Williams
BRENDON Cole has named his winner of Strictly Come Dancing 20203.
The former show pro has insisted that it won’t be Layton despite the West End performer having the most dance experience.
West End star Layton Williams has soared through the 2023 series of Strictly Come Dancing[/caption]He said: “I’ve always thought Layton was going to make it to the final because in a dance off situation, unless he messes up completely, he’s always going to win over somebody else.
“Unless, like Shirley (Ballas) pointed out, that wasn’t the kind of dance they were supposed to do, for example if they are given a Waltz and they do a Foxtrot.”
In a surprise twist Brendan has tipped EastEnders actor Nigel Harman has it in the bag thanks to his secret weapon – Katya Jones.
Speaking to Sky Bingo, Brendan continued: “I would have thought it’s going to be between Ellie and Nigel (in the final two), even though there is something slightly awkward about what Nigel does with his feet and legs.
“He’s a great performer and he’s lovely to watch.
“He’s also got an amazing partner in Katya because she is second to none, she’s brilliant.”
The West End superstar landed in the dance off against Angela Scanlon, and some viewers think this is so he has a week of adversity before storming back.
On the thread, they posted: “They set Layton up for the bottom 2, with a c*** choreography, ludicrous song etc. and first on. That way he didn’t just walk it to the win.”
The viewer added: “Now they’ll let him bring out the big guns and get 40 next weekk, you watch. He’s a professional dancer in all but name.”
Other fan echoed the claims as they commented: “I feel so bad for Layton it must suck to be the best dancer in a dancing competition and get hate for it.”
Elsewhere on the show, EastEnders star Bobby Brazier, 20, came second on the leaderboard for his emotional tribute to his late mum Jade Goody with 38 points.
Former tennis star Annabel Croft was just two points behind as she was given a score of 36 for her Paso Doble.
