‘Hard Knocks’ Caught Mike McDaniel’s NSFW Reaction to Getting Hit in Groin in Raiders-Dolphins Game
NFL Films has been chronicling the Dolphins during the regular season on Hard Knocks, and it’s evident that coach Mike McDaniel is a walking sound byte.
The second year coach in Miami has the Dolphins sitting at 8–3 on the season and atop the AFC East, but it’s his constant sense of humor with the media, and with fellow coaches that tells the story of what kind of guy he is.
Ahead of Miami’s 34–13 Black Friday win against the Jets, Hard Knocks caught McDaniel talking with Jets coach Robert Saleh in pregame warmups, where they discussed a shot that McDaniel took on the sideline from Raiders tight end Michael Mayer in a game earlier this season.
“He came up on me. He slips out, kicks me in the shoulder and elbowed me in my manhood,” McDaniel described to Saleh and those around him.

Hard Knocks then cut to a clip from right after the incident in the Raiders game where McDaniel was describing what happened to his assistants on the headset.

That clip from this week’s episode of Hard Knocks was certainly a memorable one.
