The Royal Family Feud Is Landing Squarely on This Person's Shoulders & It's Not Prince Harry

Prince Harry has taken a lot of the heat in the royal family feud from the British tabloids, but Omid Scobie’s book, Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy’s Fight for Survival, is offering new insight into the senior royal, who may have unnecessarily prolonged this battle.
A family friend told Scobie that this epic level of fighting “could have been prevented” if King Charles III had only listened to what Harry and Meghan Markle were saying. “For so long, Harry had made it clear that he and Meghan simply wanted to be heard. That they wanted the opportunity to sit down and talk through the past, from both perspectives, and find a way to move forward. For Harry, it was about seeking accountability and, where appropriate, apologies,” the insider is quoted in an excerpt from Scobie’s book.
Even Queen Elizabeth II told Charles to get a grip on the issue. Instead, he “chose to say nothing and turn the other way” and that’s when the Sussexes went on to speak their truth in Netflix’s Harry & Meghan and in the memoir, Spare. Even after the royal family’s dirty laundry was aired, Scobie noted that Harry tried to end the feud with his father to no avail — and now, it’s starting to become an issue at the palace. “It’s complex, but there’s increasing frustration from some of the wider circle of family members that Charles won’t just fix things for the sake of everyone,” per a royal source in the biography.
King Charles’ inaction has affected the perception of his reign and has palace insiders questioning why he’s being so stubborn with his youngest son. The negative headlines only distract from what he’s trying to achieve as a monarch, and royal critics are now putting the blame on Charles for making a bad situation much worse.
