My ‘cocoon’ hack halves the time you need your heating on, and gets your clothes dry in just two hours
A HACK enthusiast has shared her savvy way to heat your home and clothes in half the time.
She told viewers about her quick trick that gets laundry dry in a few hours.
Entrepreneur Andrea Lusty (@andrealusty4) loves to travel and showcase it online.
As a result, she has acquired unique ways to stay warm and tackle household tasks while on the go.
In a TikTok video, she shared a useful heating hack to save money on bills and also dry your clothes.
“I don’t know if you already know about this hack that could save on your electricity bills, but I’m just gonna explain and show you how this could be easier for you,” she said as the video began.
She walked viewers through how she made a “cocoon” over her radiator with several bedsheets and towels.
“Everything has all been tied up and I’ve kept it together with a wee hair clip, and in there obviously is the radiator,” she explained.
This is how she keeps the heat generated within the manmade feature.
She detailed: “In that cocoon, that will stop you having to keep your heating on for a long space of time.”
You can almost half the time that you regularly keep your heat by doing this trick.
Even if you turn it off, the heat will just keep circulating within that cocoon and warm your home.
This means that you don’t need to keep your radiator on as long, which saves money on energy bills.
Andrea also shared a useful way to hit two birds with one stone by putting the sheets on top of her clothes horse, a portable frame upon which wet laundry is hung to dry.
“I was washing the sheets anyway, so they need it dried regardless, and within a couple of hours, everything inside that clothes horse will be dry,” she added.
