‘What were you thinking?’ Beauty fans ask as woman shows off new mani… and it’s so bad even her dad and brother noticed
A BEAUTY fan was left with her head in her hands when she unveiled the results of her brand new manicure – and realised what it actually looked like.
Social media user Kayla Jackson had gone to have her nails done with what she thought was an on-trend design.
She’d opted for a french manicure with a twist – a green tip instead of the traditional white.
However, when she arrived home, her family were the first people to pick up on what it could be mistaken for.
So Australian Kayla decided to take to TikTok to see if others were in agreement.
“Be honest with me right now,” Kayla began as she held her hands up to the camera in the video posted to her account @kaylajacksonnn.
“I just got my nails done – a mini manicure in a forest green,” she continued as she showed the green tipped nails more clearly.
“Two people have said to me – my dad and my brother – that it looks like I have dirt underneath my nails.
“Does it look like I have dirt underneath my nails?!”
She then put her head in her hands, as she added in the caption: “Can you please not???
“It’s a hard enough decision as IT IS,” she said about choosing nail inspiration.
After she asked the question, her 12k followers were quick to respond, and said they were in agreement with the men in her family.
One said: “Girl you damn well know that’s exactly what it looks like.
“What on God’s green earth were you thinking?”
Another slammed the look, as they wrote: “My toddler actually gets that same manicure every day at the park.”
A third typed: “That’s the first thing I thought.
“It really does look like you didn’t clean your nails for a long time.”
As a fourth chimed in: “Yeah, it’s what my mind instantly went to. It’s giving been digging in moss.”
Kayla later revealed that she’d taken everyone’s comments on board – and took drastic action.
In a follow-up video, she said: “No, I’m not a mechanic, I haven’t been digging in the garden, I haven’t been changing nappies – and I’m not 3 years old.
“I filed them down. Luckily it was just a shellac cover on top of SNS so I could file them down.
“And now I’m known on the internet as the dirt girl. It’s fine…”
