Heartbroken Charley Webb steps out for first time without wedding ring after shock split from Matthew Wolfenden
HEARTBROKEN Charley Webb stepped out for the first time without her wedding ring – after her shock split from ex-soap hunk Matthew Wolfenden.
Charley was seen looking downcast just days after we revealed the actor had begun dating another woman before their marriage ended.
He enjoyed secret late-night meets with a mystery female – a personal trainer – between his performances in Elf the Musical.
She has regularly met him at the stage door of the Dominion Theatre, West London, before they breeze back to his bolthole for the night.
A source said: “Charley’s putting a brave face on it. It’s extremely difficult, but she’s trying to be strong for the kids.
“They are her priority.”
Matthew, 43, and Charley, 35, announced their split online last week.
They married in 2018 and have three kids – Buster, 13, Bowie, eight, and Ace, four.
Charley’s message said: “It is with love and respect that Matthew and I have decided to separate.
“We remain friends and our priority is the love for our children.”
Matthew shared the same words but, hours later, he was snapped arm-in-arm with his Watford-based new woman.
Charley and Matthew, 43, met on the set of Emmerdale in 2007 and got engaged in 2009.
They split in 2013 for two years and then had a surprise wedding in 2018.
Matthew recently quit Emmerdale after 18 years of playing David Metcalfe.
Charley played Debbie Dingle but left the soap two years ago and was recently in ITV’s Yorkshire Ripper drama The Long Shadow.
