MAFS UK’s Shona Manderson showed off her ‘real skin’ in an honest make-up free video today.
Shona, 31, found fame on Married At First Sight‘s latest series, but left the show early because of her unhealthy relationship with Brad Skelly.
She’s pursued a career as an influencer, having accumulated 140,000 Instagram followers off the back of the E4 show.
In her latest Story, Shona revealed her spots but claimed they should be gone once she gets her IUD removed, also known as a ‘coil’.
The performing arts teacher said in a video, “Here’s a little update where I’m at, so my spots seem to be like here, here, here, got them really bad on my chin.
“But I’m getting my coil removed on Monday so hopefully… fingers crossed.”
The IUD is a popular choice of contraception for many women and can protect against pregnancy for five to 10 years.
However, acne is listed as a side effect due to the progesterone hormone, which is an androgen.
Viewers of MAFS UK will remember Shona‘s show groom Brad being dumped from the show after displaying “coercive and controlling” behaviour towards Shona.
But fan favourite Shona is having the last laugh after confirming her relationship with fellow show star Matt Pilmoor.
And she recently revealed how she got over her failed romance with Brad.
Appearing on Vicky Pattison‘s The Secret To podcast, Shona said: “The universe works in crazy ways because obviously I went on my journey with Bradley and it was difficult.
Then after that I went to Sri Lanka on my own for five weeks and I was like ‘I really need to heal my heart’.
“And I did yoga teacher training then somebody incredible, who is just everything I ever wanted… he’s got such a kind heart, he’s so down to earth, he’s funny…”
Smitten Shona added: “He’s just chill and he’s my boyfriend! And it just works so well.”
