Toronto Society of Architects to host second annual Kids’ Main Street workshop

The Toronto Society of Architects (TSA) will be hosting their second annual Kids’ Main Street workshops as part of the TSA’s Gingerbread City.

Kids’ Main Street, a program for the youngest designers in the family, invites children to be a part of Gingerbread City by designing and decorating their very own Main Street façades.

Participants will have their creations photographed and collaged into the digital Main Street at the end of each session and will be able to  visit them on TSA’s website as well as keep their creations.

Kids’ Main Street workshops will be offered in three sessions on Saturday, December 2, 2023. Time slots include 10:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Everything required for the exercise, including the gingerbread template cookie and decorations will be included. Each session will last approximately two hours, depending on how much detail the participants want to put into their creations, but may start wrapping up their pieces at the 1.5 hour mark.

While the workshop is ideal for kids ages 7-11, children of all ages are welcome.

The cost to participate is $15+HST for general admission and $10+HST for TSA members. Spaces are limited so registration in advance is reccomended.
