BART service restored between San Francisco and Oakland
SAN FRANCISCO – BART service was stopped between San Francisco and Oakland for roughly 1½ hours Wednesday night after a person entered the trackway, according to the transit agency.
The person entered the trackway just before 5 p.m., spurring a shutdown of the Transbay Tube, BART spokesperson Anna Duckworth said in a recorded message around 6:20 p.m.
“At this point, police have determined that the person has left the trackway,” she said. “We are now in the process of restoring full service through the Transbay Tube.”
