I’m 61 and still wear bikinis, I don’t let stomach rolls or wrinkled skin stop me but trolls say ‘dress appropriately’
A SEXY senior wasn’t going to let her age hold her back from wearing revealing bikinis – or feeling good about herself.
She was living her best life and didn’t care what anybody had to say.
“I am 61 and I wear bikinis,” said Ros (@howrosdoesit) as she playfully posed by the pool.
The body-positive crusader wanted to inspire others to never feel the need to cover up.
“This is your sign to not let a few stomach rolls or wrinkled skin hold you back from going to the beach or wearing the bikini. Age is just a number,” she emphasized.
The trolls might have told her to dress appropriately, but she had plenty of fans who didn’t want her to hide her assets – regardless of her age.
“You look great! Keep being confident!” said one enthused follower.
“Always,” she replied.
Another wholeheartedly agreed: “You don’t just wear them, you rock them.”
This viewer didn’t even notice any signs of aging: “You have none of the mentioned body signs mentioned – you look amazing.”
She might still be able to rock a bikini, but in a second video, Ros explained that there are some things her age should exempt her from – they include not asking if she is married and has children.
“Here are ten things that I’m too old for as a 60-year-old woman,” she said.
Let’s just say that her days of standing in line are long gone – even for a sample sale.
She is certainly sick of ageism in all forms, especially at the workplace.
“Honestly, don’t assume as an employer that women over the age of 50 aren’t digitally competent, because they are,” she said.
This already started prompting reactions from those with the same feelings on the matter.
“Oh, I get so mad when employers are reluctant to hire older people. They are so missing the mark,” said one follower.
Next up on the list was not skimping on luxury – at least when it came to hotels.
“I’m not staying in a hostel anymore. I want to travel really nicely.”
And she was not about to tolerate guys sliding into her DM’s thinking she was going to be their sugar momma.
She warned: “Sorry, you’ll be disappointed.”
Don’t dare get her started on dressing appropriately.
“I can dress the way I want,” this proud swimsuit wearer explained.
Ros was also ready to hang up her high heels.
Instead, she was all about comfort and enjoying this time by sporting Kicks.
And Ros’ words were resonating.
“Omg you speak my language!” said one viewer.
This viewer joked: “Late thirties here and I’m right there with you!”
When it comes to attitudes towards the aging population in society, the results are disheartening.
According to the World Health Organization, 60% of those polled in a world values survey reported that older people are not respected.
The survey, which assessed overall attitudes towards older people, saw the lowest levels of respect in high-income countries.
