Connecticut has another chance for an aurora borealis. Here’s what the Space Weather Watch is predicting.

Connecticut residents could have another chance of seeing the Northern Lights in their backyard.

The Space Weather Watch has predicted a “moderate to strong geomagnetic storming” expected for late Thursday, Nov. 30 into early Friday, Dec.1.

“Several solar coronal mass ejections including yesterday’s full halo covered in previous posts are currently en route to Earth,” according to a tweet from Space Weather Watch. Assuming the storms pile up, an aurora could be visible by the naked eye for Connecticut stargazers.

0-10% cloud coverage is expected overnight, allowing for peak viewing should the stars align, so to speak.
