'You want us to shut up?': Chaos erupts in Senate as GOPers demand to speak on judges
Republicans on a Senate committee erupted on Thursday after they were not allowed to speak about judicial nominations that had already been debated.
During a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, Chairman Dick Durbin (D-IL) called for a vote on several nominees, but Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) demanded to speak about one nomination.
"Senator, we've debated these two nominees twice," Durbin explained.
Sens. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), Tom Cotton (R-AR), and Lindsey Graham (R-SC) lashed out at the chairman.

"You're gonna have a lot of consequences coming if you go down this road," Cotton warned. "I've cautioned a lot of you."
"So you're telling us to shut up?" Blackburn complained. "You want us to shut up? Is that what you're saying?"
"Sen. Blackburn had a chance to speak," Durbin pointed out.
"I guess Sen. Durbin's not going to allow women to speak either," Cotton griped. "I thought that was sacrosanct in your party."
