The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) expressed concern on Thursday over the United States Justice Department's indictment of an Indian national for an unsuccessful plot to assassinate a Khalistani separatist in New York, along with the alleged connection to a government official. MEA spokesperson Arindam Bagchi stated that this development is contrary to government policy, emphasizing that appropriate measures will be implemented based on the outcomes of a high-level inquiry committee formed to investigate the matter.
