Emmerdale horror as Suni Sharma is left fighting for his life after homophobic attack
EMMERDALE fans are in shock after Suni Sharma and Nicky Miligan were brutally attacked by homophobic thugs – and Ethan Anderson was arrested.
The couple – who are played by actors Brahmdeo Shannon Ramana and Lewis Cope in the ITV soap – reunited tonight after Suni’s dad Amit sat Nicky down and made him see sense.
Nicky headed to the club Suni was at with Ethan and Gabby.
However when he arrived Gabby gave Nicky both barrels and told him to leave in front of a creepy man called Mike who kept hitting on her.
Later after Nicky and Suni made up, Mike spotted them kissing and began shouting homophobic abuse at the couple.
Suni left the bigot confused when he stood up to him and then left with Nicky.
But Mike and his thug friends followed and attacked the pair, kicking Suni unconscious and leaving him bleeding on the floor while they laid into Nicky.
They only stopped when Gabby and Ethan arrived and intervened – but then things took a strange turn.
The bouncers grabbed Ethan before the police were called, Mike’s thug mates disappeared and the police ignored the evidence in front of them to arrest Ethan when Mike claimed he had a knife.
Nicky jumped into the ambulance to go with Suni while Gabby was completely ignored by the police officers who carted Ethan off.
The scenes were shocking but left fans feeling very confused about what actually happened.
One wrote: “Omg…this is horrible, poor Suni,” while a second asked: “Is Suni dead?”
Another added: “Watching this scene, which I can see is a mixture of racism & homophobia, is really infuriating. See how security was quick to warn Ethan? Also the comment ‘look at the state of you’ I hope Suni & Nicky will be ok #Emmerdale.”
