Pedestrian issued infraction after being struck by car in West Hartford
A pedestrian was struck by a car in West Hartford on Wednesday.
The crash was reported at 11:44 a.m. in the area of 333 North Main St. where first responders found a woman suffering from non-life-threatening injuries, according to the West Hartford Police Department.
The woman was treated at the scene before being taken to an area hospital, police said.
Police said the department’s Traffic Division is still investigating the crash, though the initial investigation led to the pedestrian being issued an infraction for reckless use of the highway by a pedestrian.
North Main Street was closed in both directions between Sims Road and Albany Avenue while police investigated.
