Marine House represents a moment in time when the world was re-evaluating itself. In late 2020, we were tasked with the project of reimagining a somewhat tired 1980s compact project home into a lockdown and potentially long-term family home for a family of six; we threw ourselves into the romance of all that a bush-inspired yet sophisticated family home could be.
This design was for a store in Ginza, newly opened by the sweets and cosmetics brand Meet Tree. This brand is managed by a lumber company in Nakatsugawa, Gifu Prefecture.
In the highest part of the city, on a steep slope, overlooking the sea of hills of Minas Gerais - Brazil, lies Casa Bosque.
The land is located in the original part of the village of Dvorce in Prague Podolí. It is a remarkable plot on the edge of a residential area with views of the opposite bank of the Vltava River and the Church of St. Philip and Jacob in Zlíchov. The family of the current owner has lived on this site for several generations. The task was to convert a worn-out family house from the 1960s into a comfortable residential villa for individual living of a high standard.
Noli Otaniemi is located in the rapidly growing and developing area of Otaniemi in Espoo. The 15-storey hotel contains 406 studios and is the largest Noli Studios hotel yet built. In accordance with the Noli concept, the hotel is aimed for both short- and long-term accommodation and is designed to enable a sense of community, thus catering to the needs of professionals, researchers, and international talents in the Otaniemi scientific community and the nearby business districts. Prefabricated homes are disrupting the architecture industry with their efficient construction, predictable costs, and reduced environmental impact. Modular housing is rooted in the idea of quick replication and standardization. In a world that prioritizes customization, how might modular housing meet the needs of diverse individuals?
Our fascination for tropical architecture always made us appreciative of its beauty and significance. Site is located near Surat. The land offers a beautiful panoramic river view and mango trees on the other side. When we collaborate with clients, we prioritize engaging with them from the very beginning to grasp their preferences and architectural tastes. We always remind ourselves that every project is a collaborative effort between the designer and the user.

However, the crucial role played by interior design in the success of commercial spaces proves this not to be the case. Every aspect of these environments is carefully crafted to encourage customers to part with their cash—and be happy to do so—from the lighting and temperature to the acoustic and, perhaps most significantly, the visual landscape.
Diamond Schmitt Architects, together with Associate Architect EXP, has unveiled the design for the New Brunswick Museum (NBM). Envisioned as an extension of Canada’s oldest museum, the new wing will expand the museum’s spaces for research and exhibitions while maintaining a minimum carbon footprint. The intervention is located on the historic Saint John site, taking advantage of the unique location by opening up views towards both the urban center and the Harbor of Saint John.
The middle school, built in 1966 and now renamed after Josephine Baker, just underwent a radical transformation. Replacing an aging building on the same site, the entirely new building provides students and teachers with greatly enriched surroundings and opens a new chapter in the school’s history. The new construction also has the capacity to receive 600 students and possesses an auditorium and a gymnasium.
The flexibility of architecture allows it to continuously change and adjust its form in response to technological progress, social and artistic trends, and the collective experiences we undergo. Large-scale global events, such as the transatlantic migrations of the 19th century, the impact of tuberculosis on design, and most recently, the effects of the last major global health crisis (COVID-19), have all played significant roles in shaping the evolution of architecture.
Apple Jing’an is a new Apple store and urban regeneration project located in the heart of Shanghai’s Jing'an District. A new circular public plaza has been carefully recreated to enhance connectivity between the historic Jing’an Temple and Jing’an Park, which are located on either side of Nanjing Road. The project knits together the city’s urban fabric with the major metro interchange below to create a new active public space for the city of Shanghai.
This is a plan for a house with a small baked sweets store located in a quiet residential area after passing through the shopping street in front of the station. Although the site is a flagpole lot, one long east side faces a large parking lot, so there is no particular sense of enclosure but rather an open feeling as if it were facing a park. This is a cultural complex integrating art exhibitions and cultural industries. The project is located in the southern part of Xintiandi Complex in Gongshu District, Hangzhou City. The surrounding buildings are relatively dense, mainly consisting of offices, commercial establishments, and residences, with diverse functions.
