Obetsebi Lamptey Interchange: Contractor sets September for completion

The second phase of the three-tier Obetsebi Lamptey Interchange project is set to be completed in September 2024. Mr Owusu Sekyere Antwi, the Chief Resident Engineer of FAS Consult Limited, who gave the assurance, said work on the project had resumed in February 2024 after a long suspension.

EC to declare 2024 general election results within 72-hours

In preparation for Ghana rsquo;s 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections, the Electoral Commission (EC) has released a schedule of important dates and activities for December 7. The EC has announced that nominations for candidates will be received from September 9 to 13, 2024.

Three remanded over GHC620,000 alleged gold scam transaction

A 59-year-old car dealer accused of swindling a businessman of GHC620,000 in a gold transaction has been remanded into Police custody by the Achimota Circuit Court. Gbegoueu Evrard, a French national, is said to have collected the money under the pretext of selling to the complainant, Hayford Boadi, gold but failed.

‘Wear Ghana Everyday’ — Samira Bawumia leads Made-in-Ghana campaign

Hajia Samira Bawumia, the wife of the Vice President, has launched a ldquo;Wear Ghana Everyday rdquo; campaign as part of efforts to promote made-in-Ghana fabrics. At the launch of this year rsquo;s ldquo;Wear Ghana Festival rdquo; in Accra, Mrs Bawumia, who has dazzled Ghanaians over the years with her breathtaking and bespoke Ghanaian designs, advocated an increased patronage of locally produced textiles and designs.

Transport fares to go up by 30% by March 7

Transport Operators Union and the Concerned Drivers Association of Ghana have announced a 30 percent increase in transport fares effective March 7, 2024. A joint press release by the two bodies explained that the decision to increase fares stems from the government rsquo;s failure to address their concerns.
