Just think if Sheffield Wednesday hadn't treated this as their cup final it would have been double figures (sic)!!

Cant wait to play this busted flush on Good Friday. They are miles behind us now. I wouldn't take one of their players to add to ours. Not even for the bench. I see the hunchback hype man went missing again last night as he did for England in the WC. Some superstar him. Field and French on one leg any day of the week. Yesterdays news.

To be honest they are still feeling the effects of going to Australia

One of those nights when you're glad you braved the horrors of the motorway. Few things that stood out for me: 1) They tries they scored were really sharp well executed rugby and I wouldn't lay too much blame on the goal line defence. 2) It’s the errors, not the line speed or passive defence that gets us in bother. 3) Don't know if Smith has a "hair dryer" in his kitbag, but tonight I think he may have used it. The intent from the 1st tackle of the 2nd half was clear. 4) Momorosvki needs to remember he's a good player too. Читать дальше...
Yeah. Is the English game in such bad shape? I keep reading Aussie fans saying what a rubbish comp SL is, and didn't Gus Gould say Penrith would declare at half-time against Saints? I don't think so, despite the best efforts of the RFL! The NRL's best team has played Saints and Wigan, and only scored 12 points against each in two defeats. Which doesn't win you many games. Unless, of course, going by today's results, you are actually playing Penrith. In which case, it seems sometimes a mere eight points are sufficient! Читать дальше...
Hmmm, let me think.
If we had beaten Cas home and away last year, they would be down, and we would be in SL.
If we had stayed up, we'd be dead this year (because the situation wouldn't be there for Mr Ellis)...
And if Cas had gone down...well same as this year...they're dead.
Too little, too late for them.
Axiom are banking on it!

Does Cas's progress so far this season in matters on and off the field remind you very much of a certain former Super League side?

My owd fella’s ( a born and bred Wiganer) favourite ever player. He could regale for hours about him. He must have been a sensational player.
He was obviously a humble guy too which doesn’t surprise me in the slightest.

Cas looking like we did under Applegarth, no attack, leaky defence and Miller doing his usual headless chicken routine.

Can we please keep him at acting half? We actually started to look dangerous from quick rucks with him there. Get Milner out to the championship where he now belongs and spell Lolohea with Golding (although Golding's distribution leaves a lot to be desired) and we actually have some threat in the middle.
Not sure tonights win tells us anything, we were literally allowed to run training ground moves against Cas in the first half as they allowed us to run at them and play in dinner jackets.... Читать дальше...
9 clear of Southampton. I know they have 2 games in hand but the points are priceless. and one game is at Leicester

Beat Fev away.
Beat Cas at home.
Lose to Wigan or Leeds at home. Exit CC.
Win 1895 Cup at Wembley.
Yes, I have had a little drinky.
