Unfortunately those supporters have lived through decades of "send the owner the monthly bill to settle" culture that is across most of the professional clubs. The last owner was either a penniless chancer or someone who didnt buy into this philosophy and it nearly cost the town their football club.

Having both clubs under one ownership will, in time, repair the division. I have attended a couple of football fixtures this season now that the ownership isnt anti-rugby... Читать дальше...

5 weeks more to continue with this vein of form he is showing.. Dufty was average last season with odd glimpses of individual skill, just seems a bit haste to extend on the back of few good games this season.. would it be a great miss if he did sign with another club.. especially with Josh been mooted as a full back.. frees up cap space to strengthen other areas..

I don’t disagree really, before the season started I felt he should move on at the end of this year. Читать дальше...

Wigan Warriors • Bill Francis

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

I was disappointed, and surprised, that the Club did not mark the passing of Bill with either a minutes silence, a reference in the programme, or ideally both. For a club that avidly promotes its work in the community it is sad that it couldn’t recognise a man who played in excess of 400 games for Wigan. I am hopeful that this can be rectified in due course.

On Corey Hall, enough time has passed to post this I think; the club let him go in a rush because they believed he was one head-knock away from a serious, potentially career-ending situation.

I don't know where they took that opinion from, but they wanted him off the books quick and HKR popped up with an offer.

My cynical friend suggests the rumour was started by someone called Heal Nudgell.

You’re correct or your source is. I got told the same, however I still thought it a bit dubious. Читать дальше...

Went over to wigan last night and although wigan wernt great sheffield look a very good, well organised team, they play very hard and direct down the middle and throw it about realy well. I suppose it depends on injuries but they are no easy beats

On more than one occasion I have stated that Sheffield are in contention for the championship, I put them in-front of Toulouse, Bradford and Halifax, their only issues is depth of squad if they get injuries/suspensions

I can't speak with 100% knowledge of this situation, but have being involved in project managing the supply of goods and services to builds of similar and larger size/complexity for around 35 years and dealt with Morgan Sindall for the last 10 and in all cases, there are agreed timescales and milestones when funds are released/withheld and not once has full payment been made "up front" on any of those projects

No doubt Dufty has improved in certain areas of his game but he will still have that bad defensive read in him or just chicken out of making a tackle or catching a high ball.. attacking wise he’s quality and along with French and Field he’s one of the best open space attackers players.. is he worth of an early two year deal.. for me no.. he needs to show this attacking form on a consistent basis thought out the whole season and improve defensively.. then offer new... Hull FC • Re: Smith - should he stay or should he go?

More blind faith utterances ngs from Smith in the local rag today.

I do appreciate he's between a rock and hard place in terms of what he says and how it's received at the minute, but I do take objection to separating fans at the minute.

He's basically said most fans are supportive and well wishing and others are being noisy and counter-productive. I guess I fall into the latter.

I would say I've been driven to be "out spoken" as he puts it, but because I invest in the club... Читать дальше...

I like Walters. I don’t think many of the already also-rans like us, Catalans, HKR will be losing much sleep over the return of Kruise Leeming and Mike Cooper.

Walters is a shrewd signing but there was no way he would have signed for us with all the turmoil of last season with Powell.

Junior Nsemba looks to have a great future in Super League. I rate him very highly. A very powerful forward with superb handling skills and strong defence.

As an outsider looking in, whilst also factoring in their recent and well publicised issues, it makes perfect sense. I just don't feel like Latics fans will ever really love Danson. They might tolerate and even thank him for keeping their club alive, but I feel the diehards will always want more.

You can equally say if they'd gone long and we hadn't scored it was the right play. There's only one thing we know for sure and that's going short was the wrong play. Definitely. No need for what ifs.

Listening to the NRL 'experts the easiest place to defend ìs ur own 10 so I get why he did it. Well never know if we'd have scored if he'd gone long

Dean Hawkins NSW cup outstanding performer winner of 2023 and halfback is looking at SL for 2025.

He’s a halfback and has forced his way into a start in NRL this weekend. Though I’d be happy for us to develop Lawford so he’s ready for next season.
