Library hours extended at all locations

The Toledo Blade 

Having curtailed operating hours because of the coronavirus pandemic, the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library has now extended hours at all locations, but with pandemic-related restrictions in place.

GRAND RAPIDS, Ohio — The setting was the wildlife haven of the Carson Family Farm along the Maumee River west of here as a group of a half dozen military veterans were treated to the rare opportunity of a pheasant hunt similar to those upland hunters experienced in this region in the 1960s. Virtual job fair offers dozens of opportunities

Spherion Staffing, a temporary work agency, next Wednesday plans to hold a “virtual job fair” to help fill dozens of employment opportunities at a minimum of 13 companies in northwest Ohio who are seeking workers to fill immediate positions.

J. Patrick Nicholson, a former board chairman of the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority and a leader of civic causes who was president of the company his father founded and then started his own, died Sunday in Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center. He was 84.
