Federal Signal: Q3 Earnings Snapshot

On a per-share basis, the Oak Brook, Illinois-based company said it had profit of 71 cents.

The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 65 cents per share.

The company that makes products ranging from street sweepers to toll booth technology for government, industrial and commercial customers posted revenue of $446.4 million in the period, also surpassing Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $434.6 million.

Federal Signal expects full-year earnings in the range of $2.44 to $2.52 per share, with revenue in the range of $1.68 billion to $1.72 billion.
