The Nation's Weather for Thursday, November 30, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Through the day tomorrow, severe thunderstorms are likely to
develop from east-central Texas into western Louisiana,
bringing downpours, damaging wind gusts and the risk for
some tornadoes into the night. To the north and east of this
zone, a widespread soaking rainfall event will spread from
eastern Oklahoma through Arkansas and across the remainder
of Louisiana, with some snow showers reaching westward from
the panhandles of Oklahoma and Texas into northern New
Mexico. Showers also will reach southern Illinois by the end
of the day, but large zones of high pressure will ensure
that most of the rest of the nation stays dry tomorrow. The
main exception will be where steady rain and mountain snow
fall from western Washington and Oregon into Northern
California.
