Today, another load of Clinton emails were wet-heaved onto the internet. Most of them are banal. Many of them are nonsensical without context. And at least one of the trove of Hillary emails reads like the grocery lists of a mad scientist dabbling in mad diplomacy. It confuses and delights me.

Halloween is enjoyable in moderation, but, as is the case with many vices, it is difficult to enjoy without overindulging. Every year, I set out to have a good spooky time, and before I know it, I’m huddled under a blanket with all the lights on because I thought it might be fun to cook dinner while the creepiness equivalent of the It Follows soundtrack plays. Anthony Bourdain has become the latest celebrity chef to express his opinion of Donald Trump’s insane immigration plan. A celebrity divorce usually goes something like this: one of them hires an expensive attorney who will yell at them for not having a prenup, files for divorce from their partner, takes a plane to Middle Earth, hops off and finds someone who can charter a helicopter, flies the helicopter to Mordor, drops their wedding ring into Mount Doom (please don’t start with the feasibility of this drop), and returns to Los Angeles where they quickly expire from heartbreak.

Joe Kennedy, the coach of a Washington state high school football team, has been placed on leave after he wouldn’t stop praying at games. The school district says it’s to avoid liability, which is probably true. It’s convenient timing, too, considering that the Satanic Temple has begun demanding to be allowed to deliver their own satanic prayers at the games, a request the school district probably would have had to grant.

Oh, Andy Cohen, what have you wrought? The press release I received told me to say “Cheerio,” so let’s just be that clichéd and say exactly that to Bravo’s newest series: The Real Housewives of Cheshire.
