A “suspicious” fire broke out Friday afternoon at a Houston mosque hours after services ended. According to Houston’s CBS affiliate KHOU, the fire began Christmas day around 2:30 p.m. Nobody was injured in the fire and firefighters were able to put out the blaze relatively quickly. Smoke damaged both the mosque and the businesses that shared the strip mall with the worship center. “With God’s grace, no one was hurt and nothing happened,” owner of the strip mall, Imran Momin, told the Houston Chronicle. South Carolina could spend up to $3.6 million to house and display the Confederate flag that once flew in front of the statehouse. After a long deliberation, the state removed the flag in July after nine members of Charleston’s Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal were murdered in a hate crime.

Jennifer Lawrence, patron saint of the awkward overshare, recently provided some extremely vital information on Bradley Cooper’s posterior. A Missouri-based afterschool program for elementary students called Club HOPE organized a day where kids spent time reading books to shelter dogs. The story time session was created as an effort to help socialize the pups and prepare them for adoption.
