After October’s announcement of a change in China’s infamous one-child policy, the country’s lawmakers have formally approved the new legislation, which will allow couples to now have two children. The law will go in effect on January 1, 2016.

For the past year, the singer has been embroiled in a legal battle with Sony and her former producer Dr. Luke. who she alleges sexually abused her. Her contract with Kemosabe Records, Dr. Luke’s label which is housed under Sony, prohibits her from working with other producers than her abuser.
Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher are showing support to Syrian refugees by making a hefty donation of $1 million. The Associated Foreign Press is reporting that the couple is splitting the amount between two charities. The first $500,000 will be donated to the organization Save the Children, which will provide vaccinations to children in Syria in order to help protect them against a measles outbreak.
