The first nine agreements under the Law on Protection and Encouragement of Investment (SZPK) were signed today, December 14, the Economy Ministry reported. The total volume of investments under the concluded agreements amounted to 135.7 billion rubles.
“The law on SZPK was adopted as part of a package of anti-crisis laws, but it is a systemic measure designed for decades to come, which will strengthen the position of the Russian economy in the competition for attracting investment,” the press service quotes the words of the Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov.
The department clarified that within the framework of the signed agreements, it is planned to create about 6.4 thousand jobs. By the end of the year, another 20 projects with a total investment of about 900 billion rubles are to be signed.
The first agreements were signed by JSC Technolizing (part of the ESN group, Miratorg holding, Greenhouse complex Green Line LLC (Magnit group of companies), R-Opra LLC, Volkhov branch of Apatit JSC (GK PhosAgro), PJSC Sokolsky PPM (Segezha Group) and LLC Wildberry.
The law on SZPK was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin in April 2020. According to the law, the investor can be reimbursed within five years up to 50% of the actual costs incurred for the objects of the supporting infrastructure and within ten years – up to 100% of the costs for the objects of the supporting infrastructure. The government plans to distribute state support depending on the usefulness of investment projects.
