I have to defend Cullen here, I was talking with a friend last night who had a long chat with him yesterday he even called him one of the dirtiest players he had known. When asked about the MRP he was told they have to follow the guidelines set by the RFL.

OK he is the RFL`s henchman then.

If he doesn`t agree with their dictates, he could resign from his cushy job as Chair of the Disciplinary Committee, but he hasn`t.

I totally agreed with Wilkin tonight in everything he said regarding the game , I wonder how long before Sky will be whispering in the ears of the SL/RFL about the quality of the games we are now witnessing .

Too late for FC 2 of the most ridiculous red cards in the history of the game and as Uncle Tony said “it has repercussions for the future” I took to mean he doesn’t have the banned players available for future games. I’m losing the ability to breathe.

Must be a bad "illness". We missed him last week so I hope it's nothing long term.

Yeah I agree with that so we can't get too carried away. But he does look in better shape physically than last year, and he held up well against the Wigan pack too. We saw glimpses last season and I think there's definitely a SL player in there. We just need to see it for more than 4 or 5 games.

Warrington Wolves • Re: Great Opening Week for Super League XXIX

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Well, thats the 2nd week, I have turned off at half time watching games, as it appears that the wish that ‘the game should be more like Netball’ is coming to fruition. Fully support rules that benefit players safety, and wonder, juts how many Players were involved in creating thie new ‘non contact’ sport.
Bloody hell, if brown noser Carny stands in front of the screen shaking his head, then the game truly is………..finished, and Wilkins is right…its turning fans away.
Wait till mid-season to really get a grip of whats happening. Читать дальше...

Hull FC • Re: So exactly were are we going as a club !!

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Watching the likes of Staverley and Martin, gives me a bit of hope for the future, hopefully we can improve again in key areas. Early days but Smith can pull out wildcard signings like he did at Rovers and hopefully Ashworth.

We can moan about Pearson forever, but as it stands if he packs it in, we will be in big trouble.

Warrington Wolves • Wigan v Penrith & Red Cards

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

There needs to be a re-think & it needs to be made public. The last thing that the game needs tonight is a game changing red card for an accidental touch of the head (as happened v Hull) or for high tackles to be ignored because of the game being such a major event.

Red cards ruin games. To protect players Penalties & Yellow Cards should be given for accidents (both can be scrutinised later ... and further sanctions made).
Sending players (with red) off for accidents is not the answer. Читать дальше...

Leeds Rhinos • Re: ALL NEW 49ERS ERA LEEDS UTD THREAD

I think Leicester missed Vardy tbf as I reckon the chances they created he would have scored at least one of them.
First half I was giving Rutter a 2/10 along with Firpo and Piroe and Summerville to some extent
Second half Rutter got better and very good substitutions made by Farke.
Bamford who I know you all know I don`t rate played his part and turned the game along with James.
Sky saying Leicester should not have had that goal disallowed. About time we got something for a change.
For me Kamara was my MOM. Читать дальше...

Hull FC • Re: Warrington away Friday 23rd

Great team effort, I hope Smith continues the same combination at 1.6.7.& 9, we looked cohesive, until the controversial sending off.
The pack worked incredibly hard, but discipline is still a major problem, along with unenforced basic errors.

I honestly thought I'd never say this, but I don't want Wigan to play next week. Even after losing 75-0 to our bitterest rivals, I still wanted to see us play. Next week, I want nothing to do with the sport. It's a become a parody of everything that it once sold itself on.

Warrington Wolves • This week’s disciplinary

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Wilkin went ape again tonight. Mr Sky Brian Carney didn't seem to know where to look and just said "there's a break coming now". He literally had no reply, clearly someone in his earpiece crapping themselves while Wilkin tore the state of the game to shreds. And for once I agreed with the plonker. Got to feel for Tony Smith, another player on the sidelines next week and this time thanks to a ridiculous new rule. I haven't seen anyone say it was a red card yet.

Leeds Rhinos • Re: 2024 | Disciplinary

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

I've just seen it. I don't think that's a red. I know there's a zero tolerance policy on head to head contact, but the contact seemed minimal. Although, did it cause a cut above Currie's eye? If not, his reaction is what got Brown sent off.

Warrington Wolves • The game as died

After watching the game both in person and on t.v radio for over 30 years i think the game now has gone to much health and safety mad and scrutinising high shots and possible headbutts! my advice is get a refund it is all because a few former players have got a brain condition and are suing the game because of being hit in the head

Yup not even close. Loads handed out- never heard a one. Wonder if Boafo might be an option to create some mayhem. He has genuine pace, is elusive and is prepared to put in a defensive effort. Other than that it’s difficult to see how we change things up until Walker, Bienek in particular get fit.

Let’s not forget we have very heavy pitches due to the amount of rain. The game always start slow but improves with the harder surfaces. It will be interesting how Penrith cope with these conditions.

There have been a couple of significant shocking decisions against hull.

If the Ashton one is a penalty try then the sutcliffe one is too.

For the record, I don’t have too many issues with the head high tackle rules but that is an absolute joke.
